Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Information you give us. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you write. Please do not include confidential, sensitive, or regulated information in your message.
• Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We use Google Analytics for this purpose, which uses cookies or similar technologies.
• Error and performance information. We collect limited diagnostic information when something on the Site fails, so we can fix it.

2. How we use information

• To respond to your inquiry, schedule a scoping conversation, and prepare proposals.
• To organize and prioritize inquiries. We use automated tools, including AI language models, to summarize a message, categorize it (for example by project type or timing), and prepare a draft reply. These outputs are for internal use only. They are reviewed by a person at Volundr Labs, and we do not use them to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
• To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site, and to understand how it is used.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
• When you submit the contact form, we send you an automatic confirmation email.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, who may use it only to provide services to us. These include providers of website hosting and database services, email delivery, analytics (Google Analytics), AI model services used for the internal summaries described above, and web fonts (Google Fonts). We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets.

4. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic. You can limit this through your browser settings or by using Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not use the Site to show third-party advertising.

5. Retention

We keep contact-form messages and related records for as long as needed to respond, manage a possible engagement, and maintain business records, and then delete or anonymize them unless we are required to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 6).

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to certain uses, by emailing operations@volundrlab.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor valid requests as those laws require. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International visitors

Volundr Labs operates from the United States, and information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
